The MAC/MLA '22 Annual Meeting Planning Committee is pleased to invite you to Choose Your Adventure at the Annual Meeting of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Medical Library Association (MAC/MLA) from October 23-25, 2022.

This will be the first in-person meeting for MAC/MLA since 2019 and we are pleased to welcome attendees to Richmond, Virginia (RVA)! This will mark 11 years since the meeting was last held in Richmond. A vibrant city with outdoor activities, a rich food and drink scene, and engaging museums, Richmond is also reckoning with a past marred by injustice in unique ways including the JXN Project and Reclaiming the Monument events. You can Choose Your Adventure and explore all RVA has to offer. Discount hotel accommodations are available at the Omni Richmond. Learn more about the Omni and book your room using the information from the Annual Meeting Website.

To ensure the best possible outcomes for the health and safety of all attendees during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Annual Meeting Planning Committee created a well-informed set of Health and Safety Guidelines which include required vaccines and nose and mouth masking at all times during the event. Attestation of reviewing and following the Health and Safety guidelines will be required in order to complete registration for the annual meeting. Please review the Health and Safety Guidelines and the Annual Meeting Attendance Agreement prior to registration.

Registration prices for the MAC/MLA '22 Annual Meeting have been set to provide the best rate and ensure organizational budget stability. The rates mark a return to the costs associated with hosting an all in-person meeting and we are working to ensure the best experience possible for all attendees. We would like to thank the generous contributions of our vendor sponsors, exhibitors, and the Network of the National Library of Medicine Region 1 who have helped offset meeting costs.

This year, the Professional Development Committee has worked to create three continuing education options for MAC/MLA - two of which will occur virtually prior to the meeting in Richmond. One CE will be offered in-person on Sunday, Oct. 23. More about this year's CE offerings will be available on the Annual Meeting Website.

The Annual Meeting Planning Committee is working closely with the MAC Diversity and Inclusion Committee to create a robust program including keynote speakers to be announced soon. Time will be reserved at the Annual Meeting to feature the work of our colleagues through papers, lightning talks, and poster presentations, along with opportunities to reconnect through networking sessions. Consider submitting your content today! Additionally, time is provided for attendees to engage with exhibitors and sponsors. Please register by October 10th to help us finalize in-person registration for the event.

Be sure to check the MAC/MLA '22 Annual Meeting Website for more meeting details and updated information.

See you in-person in October!
